Adios, Au Revoir, Ciao, Bye-Bye to the Acceptance Rate
The acceptance rate is leaving the building!
It’s been a long time coming, but we are finally pulling the pin on the acceptance rate feature in the rider app. We realised that having the acceptance rate featured in the rider app has been causing confusion for riders – “Why is my acceptance rate shown in the app if it has no impact on my statistics?” – Great question!
We are continuously empowering riders to choose when, where and how they work with Deliveroo, which means choosing what orders you want to accept or reject. This is why we do not factor rider acceptance rates into any self-serve booking segmentation calculations. The statistics that are considered for priority booking can be found here.
80%, 92%, 67% – whatever the acceptance rate is, it simply doesn’t matter to us. We are focused on offering you the best earning opportunities when you decide to go online in the Deliveroo rider app. It’s up to you whether you choose to take those opportunities. The feature had been available so that you could see potential earnings you had turned down by rejecting orders; but to avoid any confusion it is now being removed.
Remember, it is much quicker and easier just to reject the order as soon as it is offered if you know you do not want to do an order – you don’t need to accept and then unassign yourself.
