Deliveroo'd-to-you Rider Event: Terms and Conditions

Terms and conditions for Competition

  1. These are the terms and conditions for the Deliveroo’d-to-you Rider Event (Competition).
  2. The promoter is Deliveroo Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 73 607 915 640) (“we”, “us”, “Promoter”). 
  3. The promotion period is from Friday 4 September 2020 to Friday 11 September 2020 (“Promotion Period”). Entries must be received during t the Promotion Period in order to be valid.  
  4. By entering this Competition, you/the entrant acknowledge that you/the entrant have read these terms and conditions and that you agree to be bound by them. Information on how to enter form part of these terms and conditions.
  5. Eligibility Criteria: 
    1. To be eligible to enter the competition you must:
      1. have an active rider account with Deliveroo Australia in your name; 
      2. be a resident of a city in which Deliveroo operates; 
      3. have completed more than 10 deliveries of Deliveroo orders in the 4 weeks prior to the Promotion Period; and
      4. be 18 years or over.
    2. The following persons are not eligible to enter the Competition:
      1.  employees of the Promoter, or their immediate family members and persons living in the same household as the employee; and
      2. anyone else professionally involved with the operation or administration of the Promotion.
  6. To enter the Competition, you must:
    1. Fill out this form; and
    2. Complete all mandatory fields and question; and
    3. Stay within the 150 word limit maximum per question.
  7. Prize: 
    1. An Entrant can only win ONE Prize.
    2. The Prize consists of a $200 Deliveroo credit that will be applied to the winner’s Deliveroo customer account. 
    3. There are 5 Prizes to be given away in total. 
    4. The total value of the Prize pool is $1,000. 
  8. Prize Restrictions: 
    1. The Prize must be used in October 2020 using the winner’s Deliveroo customer account. If the credit is not used by that time, any remaining Prize credit will expire and considered forfeited. The Prize credit can be used towards orders placed on the Deliveroo Australia platform only.
    2. Should the Deliveroo order placed by the winner be of greater value than the Prize, then the winner will be required to pay the difference using their nominated payment method on their Deliveroo customer account.
  9. Selection of winner – Deliveroo, through its authorised representative, will choose the best entry using the following judging criteria:
    1. Creativity of the suggested event (is it themed, dress-up, game involved?)
    2. Reason for throwing event (to get riders together, to celebrate a loved-ones birthday or other important event in lockdown, etc)
    3. Remaining within the preferred group size (must be between 5-15 people, preference will be given to larger groups if appropriate, in areas not impacted by COVID-19 restrictions)
    4. Clear demonstration of how riders will adhere to COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines
  10. The winner of the Prize will be selected in accordance with the judging criteria on 16 September 2020. The winner will be notified by email and telephone of their winning entry within 2 business days. 
  11. The winner must reply to the email or phone call by Tuesday 22 September 2020 to claim the Prize and may be required to provide additional person details in order to enable prize fulfilment. Any unclaimed prizes will be forfeited by the winner.
    1. The result of the draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. The winner is responsible for monitoring their email and/or phone
  12. Disqualification: 
    1. You can only enter the Competition once. If you submit multiple entries, we reserve the right to disqualify you from the Competition.
    2. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify an entry in breach of these terms and conditions or an entrant who seeks to manipulate the entry process, or who is in breach of the Promoter’s Terms of Use for Website and Applications
  13. General:
    1. All times referred to in these terms and conditions refer to Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) unless otherwise specified.
    2. The Promoter is not responsible for any technical malfunction of any communications network or any late, lost, incorrectly submitted, delayed, ineligible, incomplete, corrupted or misdirected entry whether due to error, transmission, interruption or otherwise. The time of entry will be deemed to be the time the entry is received by the Promoter
    3. The Promoter, its related bodies corporate andr respective officers, employees and authorised representative of the Promotion (Promotion Parties) will not be liable for any losses, damages, expenses, costs or personal injuries arising out of this promotion, the promotion of this promotion or the use of any Prize, including but not limited to any breach of these terms and conditions, contract or tort (including negligence) and any other common law, equitable or statutory remedy (Damages) whatsoever including but not limited to direct, indirect and consequential Damages, including Damages that cannot reasonably be considered to arise naturally and in the ordinary course of things, even if those Damages were in the contemplation of the Promotion Parties. 
    4. The exclusion of liability above does not apply to limit or exclude liability to the extent it is not permissible at law, to limit or exclude liability in the manner contemplated in that clause (in which case that liability is limited to the maximum extent allowable by law). 
    5. Entrants consent to the Promoter using personal information provided in connection with this promotion for the purposes of facilitating the conduct of the promotion and awarding any Prizes. Etrants’ personal information provided in connection with this promotion will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy (a copy of which is available at
    6. By accepting the Prize, the winner agrees to participate in and co-operate as required with all reasonable social media editorial requests relating to the Prize, including but not limited to, being photographed. The winner will not be entitled to any fee for any such participation.
    7. The Promoter reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of the Competition at any time.
    8. This Competition and these terms and conditions are governed and construed in accordance with the laws in force in Australia.
