How we're winning the hearts of customers
Our marketing team is constantly pushing the envelope with fun ways to spread the word about Deliveroo and get customers ordering through the app. Check out some of the latest initiatives we’ve launched…
We’ve recently launched a number of promotions with our restaurant partners, from giving customers the opportunity to win $100 Deliveroo credit by ordering with Boss Burger and offering free fries at Huxtaburger, to launching a McDelivery campaign with McDonald’s and offering free delivery on TGI Fridays orders.
We also launched a campaign to let customers know that we are still here to deliver for them during the COVID-19 outbreak. We shared this video across multiple channels, and as a key sponsor of Masterchef, it was also played during a commercial break in the season’s launch episode. The 2020 season launch was the show’s biggest since 2015, with nearly 2 million people tuning in (11% of Australia’s population)!
To support this initiative, we also put up giant #HereToDeliver posters around Melbourne and Sydney, two of Deliveroo Australia’s biggest markets.
Social Media Filters
To increase brand awareness and get loyal customers generating Deliveroo food envy amongst their friends, we created and shared an interactive GIF template on Instagram. Customers could share what they wish they were eating, what they recently ordered on Deliveroo, amongst several other fun photos. Try it out for yourself! Simply go to our instagram account: @deliveroo_au, click on the smiley face tab next to the grid icon, and click ‘try it’. Make sure to tag @roocommunity_au so we can share it!
Giant Cookie Pie
… we saved the sweetest one for last! One of our best-loved campaigns was our Messina promotion, where customers who ordered a tub of ice cream received a massive cookie pie for free! We can’t blame them… how’s this for dessert..
