We’d like to introduce you to Deliveroo’s new engagement associate, Oscar!
Oscar will become a familiar face to many of you, so we wanted to take the opportunity to explain his role, background, and a bit about who he is.
Oscar is responsible for organising and leading all face-to-face events and initiatives for riders. Every month, Oscar will run events such as rider bistros, roundtables, community events, and kit swaps in cities across Australia. His main goals are to get to know you, better understand what’s working for you and what isn’t, and bring you together with other riders in your area through fun and interactive events!
Before becoming an Engagement Associate, Oscar was part of the Rider Support team. While on the rider support team, Oscar answered queries from riders on topics such as fees, app updates, equipment, and account details via email and through the phone. Having spoken to lots of riders and understanding the Deliveroo business inside out, Oscar is well-positioned to answer your questions and bring your feedback back to the team.
Fun Facts about Oscar
Oscar is Melbourne born and bred, however he is a dual citizen of Germany too. He loves travelling, most recently returning from a trip to India. Outside of work, you’ll find him hanging with friends, doing jiu jitsu and kickboxing or reading and listening to music.
What Oscar has to say about his role
“I’m excited for this role because I truly believe our riders are the heart and soul of Deliveroo. My time spent in Rider Support has helped me gain an understanding of riders and their needs, and this new role will allow me to meet riders face-to-face and champion initiatives that will benefit them.”
