Perth Roadshow recap
Last week, a member from our rider engagement team escaped Melbourne’s winter and visited Perth to host a series of events for our riders in Perth!
We held two rider roundtables where riders provided constructive feedback for us, and asked questions on a variety of topics that impact them.
Riders told us how excited they were to learn about our new ‘time away’ feature that calculates your statistics based on your last 14 active days regardless of when they were. This means that you can take extended time off to spend time with family and friends, go travelling, or just take a well-earned break without your statistics being impacted.
Riders in Perth also reported that Deliveroo restaurant wait times are consistently an issue for them. This is an area we have escalated as it is a top priority for us. Our team is actively working on a solution to resolve this issue – you can find out more about what we’re doing to shorten restaurant wait times.
Riders let us know that they would like to hear more about company changes that impact riders through the Roos Weekly newsletter. Since we’ve received similar comments through other recent roundtables, we’ve taken this feedback on board and are committing to communicating initiatives with you as early as possible. If you have suggestions for specific topics you would like to hear more about, please let us know through the following survey.
Lastly, riders communicated that they have been having trouble with the customer chat functionality. We want you to be able to communicate with customers easily so we will talk to our development team about this to work out a suitable solution.
We hosted two rider bistros at different restaurants in Perth – Panchos Mexican Grill in Victoria Park, and RoyAls Chicken and Burger in Northbridge. We really enjoyed getting to socialise with riders while chowing down on delicious food prepared by the restaurants. It was also a great opportunity for riders to get to chat with restaurants and learn more about their experience with Deliveroo. One of the owners from RoyAls Chicken and Burger even sat down with us and spent some time answering questions.
We ran two amazing games of bowling at the ‘blast from the past’ venue Rosemount Bowl. We were very happy with our choice of location – walking in was like taking a step back in time to the 60’s. While all participants would probably admit that everyone was pretty rusty for the first game, the second was much more competitive.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to attend one or more of our events in Perth last week. We had a blast hearing from you at the roundtables, chowing down at our Bistro’s, and bowling with you! Your feedback is very valuable – it gives our team a better understanding of what’s happening in your city and what we can do to enhance your experience. We’ll be passing your feedback on to the wider team at Deliveroo and working on strategies to address some of what was discussed.
