Currently doing his Master’s in IT, our roo hero this week is Nikhil. First finding out about Deliveroo through his friends, Nikhil was looking for work that had flexible hours. Riding with Deliveroo allows him to fit his university timetable around his work. “Allowing flexibility in the workplace will allow employees and riders to make arrangements about working conditions that suits them. This makes riders to maintain a healthy work/life balance.”
When asked what the best part about riding with Deliveroo he said, “The best part about riding with Deliveroo is that riders are treated friendly.” During his free time you can either catch Nikhil playing badminton or cricket. He sometimes plays badminton with friends on the weekend and also loves to go on long rides.
Some of his favourite Deliveroo memories include meeting up with friends near Collingwood after completing deliveries. Another is when Deliveroo ran it’s Tour De Melbourne promotion and riders were treated to lunch in the office after all their hard work on the roads. “They selected riders for a Deliveroo promotion which was like a Melbourne tour. The event started from Peel Street park and [Collingwood riders] felt proud about our hangout spot. The promotion went very well, and we had our lunch in the office. Each and every person in the office was very friendly; that’s the workplace each and everyone is looking for.”
