Updating emergency contact details in-app
You can now update your emergency contact details in-app!
Keeping riders safe is one of Deliveroo’s top priorities, however in the event you ever do find yourself in an accident, it’s important that we’re able to reach your emergency contact.
To make sure your emergency contact is always up to date, we’ve made it so you can now update their details directly in the app! Your emergency contact can be a family member or a friend.
To view and edit your details, simply:
- Log in to the Rider app
- Tap the menu button in the top left of your screen
- Tap your Rider ID in the lop left of your screen
- Tap ‘Change details or emergency contact info’
- Add/edit the contact name and contact phone number of your emergency contact
If you ever feel unsafe, or are involved in an accident and still able to use your phone, you can let us know by contacting the Rider Support team through the app or the Roo Community help center.
In the case of an emergency, you should always call:
Triple zero (000) if the incident is life-threatening, needs immediate police attendance, a crime is happening now, or an offender is (or may be) still in the area.
